As part of GlobalSkin's ongoing work with its regional networks, we launched the Regional Engagement Workshop Series in early 2026 that brought you—our Members—together for a set of virtual sessions focused on all six World Health Organization (WHO) regions. Through facilitated, structured discussions, the Series created a space for:
- Sharing experiences
- Identifying skin patient priorities and needs
- Exploring health system challenges and opportunities
- Preparing GlobalSkin Members to engage in regional and national advocacy including participation in WHO consultations
Insights from these workshops have been documented and synthesized to inform regional reports. The reports will inform the World Health Organization’s Global Action Plan on the Skin Diseases Resolution, strengthen GlobalSkin’s regional networks and most importantly equip our Members with messaging to amplify the work they do in their local setting.
Thank You for Your Involvement in the Workshops
GlobalSkin’s Regional Engagement Workshop Series has seen participation from Members across all world regions. We thank Members who contributed their time, insights, and experiences. Your input has been instrumental in building a clearer understanding of the realities faced by people with skin diseases worldwide, which we will be conveying to the WHO.
We have analyzed the collected data, and compiled regional reports that reflect the diverse perspectives shared. These findings will be shared with GlobalSkin Members in our closing webinar.
Join Us for the Closing Webinar on May 28
You are invited to attend the Closing Webinar of our Regional Engagement Series on May 28, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM EDT.
In February and March, GlobalSkin conducted six regional workshops with GlobalSkin Members, garnering insights into their main challenges and priorities related to skin patient advocacy, national and regional policy engagement, and the implementation of the WHA Skin Diseases Resolution. The analysis of this valuable data is finalized and ready to share with our Members!
At the closing webinar, we will present insights gathered from each region, highlight the main themes emerging from the regional reports, and collectively discuss how our Members can best use the reports for their advocacy and engagement efforts. We look forward to seeing you on May 28th!
